Petersburg High School's
Official Photographer

School and sports photos are such special memories, and I want the process to be easy and stress-free for parents. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions I receive about both school portraits and sports photos. If you ever need additional help, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

  • What is your photography style?
My photography style combines vibrant, colorful editing with a mostly posed approach to shooting. I focus on creating a relaxed, enjoyable experience for my clients, which results in genuine and candid smiles, even within posed settings. The end result is a collection of bright, joyful images that capture both the beauty and emotion of the moment.
  • How many weddings have you photographed?
I’ve been photographing weddings for almost 10 years, and during that time, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing many beautiful love stories. While I haven’t kept an exact count, I’ve photographed well over 100 weddings, each one unique and special in its own way.
  • Can we see a full gallery of a recent wedding?
Absolutely! I'd be happy to share a full gallery from a recent wedding so you can get a feel for my style and how I capture the entire day, from start to finish. I'll send you a link to one of my recent weddings, and you can see the variety of shots I deliver—posed portraits, candid moments, and all the little details in between. Just ask!
  • How many hours of coverage do we need?
The number of hours really depends on your wedding day timeline and what moments are most important to you. For most weddings, 6 hours of coverage is usually enough to capture everything from getting ready through the major reception events like the first dance and cake cutting. If you’re having a more elaborate day with multiple locations or want to capture every moment from getting ready to the grand exit, you may want to consider 8 hours. I can also help create a timeline to make sure nothing is missed, even with the 4 hour collection!
  • What happens if you're unable to photograph our wedding due to an emergency?
In the unlikely event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding due to an emergency, I have a network of trusted professional photographers who I can call on to step in. I would ensure they are fully briefed on your wedding details and my style to provide a seamless experience. Additionally, this is something I cover in my contract, so you’re fully protected and will have peace of mind knowing that your day will still be beautifully captured.
  • How many images can we expect to receive?
On average, you can expect to receive about 100 edited images per hour of coverage. For a 6-hour wedding, that usually amounts to around 600 photos. The final number depends on the flow of the day, the number of events, and any special moments, but I always aim to provide a comprehensive gallery that tells the full story of your wedding day.
  • Do you edit all the images?
Yes, I personally edit all the images you receive. Every photo is carefully selected and edited to match my vibrant and colorful style. This includes adjustments to lighting, color, and composition to ensure consistency across the gallery. For portraits and key moments, I also do more detailed edits, like light skin retouching, to ensure everyone looks their best!
  • Will you be the actual photographer at our wedding?
Yes, I will personally be the photographer at your wedding. I believe in building a connection with each couple and being present throughout the entire process, from our first meeting to capturing your big day. I do bring along an assistant, but I will still be the primary photographer overseeing and capturing all the key moments. My assistant will photograph different angles to help capture everything. During family portraits, my assistant manages our family portrait checklist, which we create using answers from your wedding questionnaire.
  • Do you offer videography services?
While I specialize in photography, I don’t personally offer videography services. However, I work with some fantastic videographers and would be happy to recommend a few who I have worked with.
  • How do you handle family portraits and large group shots?
For family portraits and large group shots, I take a very organized and efficient approach. Before the wedding day, I send you a questionnaire to complete which helps me compose my standard family portraits checklist, so everything is planned in advance. On the day of the wedding, I’ll guide everyone into place and keep things moving smoothly, ensuring we capture all the key group shots while leaving plenty of time for you to enjoy the rest of your day. I always aim to keep this process fun and relaxed, so everyone looks happy and natural in the photos.

Thank you so much for trusting me with your student’s memories. It’s always such a joy to capture these milestones, and I look forward to working with you this year!
